In a series RLC circuit driven by an ac generator, the angular frequency is tunable in the sense that it can be changed at will. When the frequency is set to the resonant frequency, both the current and the average power achieve their respectively maximum values ( resonance). In one particular RLC circuit, it was observed that when such frequencies are 130 and 70 rad/s, the average power is one third of its maximum value. However, when the frequencies are 110 and 90 rad/s, the average power is now half of its maximum value.
If the resonant frequency is 100 rad/s, what is the Q factor?
